The students learned about protestors who chant while we got our picture made.

World War II Memorial

We met a veteran who fought at the Battle of the Bulge during World War II. We thanked him for serving so we could be free. He cried.

Williamsburg and Yorktown

Today we spent the day at Williamsburg with a guided tour and then free time to shop. Something horrible happened to me today in the courthouse! I sure hope no one took pictures~
Let's just say the jury selection seemed quite unfair!!

We enjoyed home-made chicken pot pie in Shield's Tavern that was topped off with a yummy bowl of ice cream.

The students enjoyed climbing on the cannons and playing on the battlefield of Yorktown.

JAMESTOWN

We are HERE!

We landed safely in Richmond around 10am EST today. Our experience at the airport was quite interesting as we missed this (see link) along the way somehow......

We were delayed a bit, but the captain held the plane for us and all 45 of us made it on the plane. AMAZINGLY all our bags were in Richmond at baggage claim even though some of us were checking our bags just 30 minutes before take off.

God is good all the time - and all the time God is good.

We are at Jamestown Settlement and we will go to Jamestowne Island before checking into our hotel in Williamsburg for a short rest before our SEAFOOD BUFFET dinner tonight.

Sunday, last chance to get it together--yikes! We will be praying for all of you! Have a safe and wonderful trip and, most of all, take lots of pictures (hear that, David?) ;D

This weekend we are busy packing, planning meals for the family we leave at home and making sure we get to bed early for the 3:15 am bus load on Monday morning!
