Sweet Home Alabama

Our trip was amazing, but I do believe some are quite glad to be back. When we had our morning devotion on the bus Friday, there was a charge to make it a day you and your child would never forget. I think that happened! Archives, Ford's Theater, Capitol tour, Library of Congress (WOW), American Center for Law and Justice, Mt. Vernon and the interesting trip home.

Thursday Night

I apologize for not updating until now. My computer cord has been broken.

Yesterday was memorial day: Arlington National Cemetery, Jefferson, Lincoln, Korean, Vietnam, Marine, FDR, Women in the Armed forces, Air Force Memorial, Pentagon 9-11 and I am sure I left out a few.

OUR STUDENTS ARE AMAZING!!! They thanked veterans, stopped and showed honor to fallen soldiers, were commended by many for their behavior, and brought their history teacher to her knees. "I see a generation, rising up to take it's place." Wow!

We landed and checked in after a day at Jamestown and the glass blowing house. We got a bit wet, but all is well. We had a nice dinner at a seafood buffet and we're settling in for a good night's sleep.

Pictures tomorrow.

Leaving in Three Days

We are hoping to finish up class for this week with not too many distractions. I think some of us are quite excited!
